Thirty-Four Trillion Dollar Women

By 2030, women in the United States are projected to control 34 Trillion Dollars in financial assets.

To put that in perspective, that number is up from 7.3 Trillion just a decade ago. According to The Currency, "Fueled by inheritance, longer life expectancies, and rising career earnings, it's more than just a financial event-it's an opportunity for women to shape the future of wealth, philanthropy, and investment."

In real estate, wealthy women are emerging as a major force when it comes to purchasing luxury real estate. Luxury realtors recently reported that 94% of women either play a significant role or are the driving force behind a real estate purchase. That reality is already shaping the landscape of what luxury buyers are looking for and will continue to evolve moving forward. Women are proving to be more practical with their focus on legacy and lifestyle, along with being cost-conscious. Metro areas that are safe, have strong infrastructures, vibrant cultural scenes, and favorable climates are where this new demographic is placing their money.

The Short Answer:

  • 30-year mortgage rates will hover around the 6.0% range

  • Approximately 33% of Twin Cities Homes over $1 million are paid for in cash

  • Although inventory of Twin City luxury homes is still low, seller pricing is beginning to be more in line with buyer expectations.
