A Tale of Two Luxury Markets:
The extended predictions of a cooling seller’s market finally hit home in South East Florida. One of the most heated markets over the last two years showed signs of slowing, most likely due to fewer numbers migrating from the northeast and second home buying being affected by the increased interest rates and decline of the stock market.
The Twin Cities and surrounding area, on the other hand, continued to boom by fairly impressive numbers. The main reasons being chronically low inventory (causing increased prices) and a revival of the job market in the life sciences, biotechnology, and medical sectors.
